Our Story
If you're a person with a passion for growing, you’d agree—it’s not always easy when you live in a city like London. Space is limited, especially in flats, and that was something we found frustrating ourselves…We wanted to try our hand at growing our own herbs and veggies, but the lack of space made it a real challenge.
That’s when Oliver came up with a solution. He looked at the little space we had and said, "I’ll design something that works for us." And voilà—it did!
The mini greenhouse he built fit perfectly in our space. We started growing herbs, and to our surprise, they lasted all winter thanks to the clever lid design that protects plants from frost.
Soon, our friends started asking about it. Turns out, we weren’t the only ones needing a green solution for small spaces. That’s when we thought—why not share it?
And that’s how Green Hive was born

Eco-Friendly Materials
Our planters are crafted from birch plywood, a renewable resource known for its durability, beauty, and lighter environmental footprint.
Low-Waste, Low-Impact Production
Each component is cut with precision — measured down to the millimetre to make the most of every sheet and minimise material waste.
We design smart, so nothing is wasted.
We also don’t do mass production — instead, we work in small batches, creating limited stock as needed. This approach helps us avoid overproduction, reduce energy use, and keep our carbon footprint low from the workshop to your windowsill
Thoughtful Free Delivery
As a new bee brand, we currently deliver only within London — and we do it with care.
To reduce transport emissions and avoid unnecessary packaging, we deliver in bulk batches just a few times a week. Fewer trips, less mileage, and a gentler impact on the planet.
Creative, Low-Waste Packaging
We’re working on something special: a creative, functional packaging solution that aligns with our zero-waste values. Stay tuned — it’ll be reusable, beautiful, and kind to the planet.
Encouraging Greener Living
